The Drexler Auditorium: An Opportunity to Add Your Name
The Drexler Auditorium, named in honor of founding trustee Fred Drexler, is a hub of activity at the Buck Institute and one of the architectural highlights of our I.M Pei designed campus. Donors can now have their name or the name of a loved one memorialized as part of the Drexler Auditorium – which is used almost daily for scientific presentations, community seminars and special events. There are over 200 permanent seats in the auditorium and for a gift to the Institute of $1,000, the donors or honoree’s name will be engraved on a lovely brass plate affixed to the back of a seat.
Catherine H. Munson, the former Chair of the Buck Institute Board of Trustees, was among the first to add her name to one of the seats in the auditorium. “I so enjoy attending the educational and scientific seminars that are held in the Drexler,” she said. “This was a perfect way for me to show my support for the activities that are held in that beautiful facility. It’s a simple way to become part of the Buck.”
